A set of full dentures are made of a removable acrylic base (plate) and a set of crafted, natural looking acrylic teeth which fit over your gums. A partial denture is one that is attached to the teeth on either side of a gap.

To make sure your denture fits correctly and is as comfortable and stable as possible, your dentist will take an impression and make precise measurements which will then be given to a technician who will custom build the perfect size and shape dentures for your mouth.

FAQS ABOUT DENTURES

WILL I HAVE ANY DISCOMFORT WITH DENTURES?

When you’re first fitted for new dentures, it’s normal to experience minor irritation, which should fade as your mouth gets used to them. However, if you had some natural teeth present that were removed at the time of the new dentures, the areas where the extractions were performed may be painful or uncomfortable for up to several weeks.

CAN I EAT NORMALLY WITH DENTURES?

Most patients need to learn how to use dentures properly but you should be able to eat normally quite quickly, though harder or sticky food may take slightly longer to get comfortable with (however, we advise you NOT to chew gum). Using a small amount of denture adhesive may help stabilise the dentures and help hold them in place making the learning process easier.

CAN I SLEEP IN MY DENTURES?

No, we ask you to remove your dentures at night.

HOW MUCH WILL MY DENTURES COST?

The cost of your dentures may vary widely based on the complexity of your particular treatment and the time required to accomplish the treatment but our fees generally start from £409.
